After Completing Yesterday's Post,

it was time to get our glad rags on as we were out for our Sunday lunch,

the choice for today was the Robins Nest, we parked almost opposite the China Garden in Soi Lengkee,

we then made our way towards Soi Bukaow,

crossing it into Soi Diana Inn,

then just before Soi LK Metro,

there is the Robins Nest on the right-hand side,

today we were joined by Slim Jim,

as usual a full supporting role of vegetables were available,

to go along with the meats consisting of pork, gammon ham and beef, also there were pieces of chicken, sausages wrapped in bacon and meatballs, I should also mention a soup starter is included in the 249 baht three course menu,

Diana looking as lovely as ever,

 'Cheers!', from the three boys,

some of us went with the ice cream that was included in the three course meal,

during the meal we had been talking about a Knickerbocker Glory, it reminded me somewhat of a ice cream Mum or Dad would by me as a treat in the late 1950's, a Knickerbocker Glory, it is a very elaborate ice cream sundae that is served in a large tall glass, particularly in the United Kingdom, and contains ice cream, mixed fruit, chocolate or fruit syrups, cream, chopped nuts or hundreds and thousands and a wafer, it has no connection with nether garments,

the term was presumably inspired by Diedrich Knickerbocker, the mock-Dutch name invented by Washington Irving for the fictitious author of his History of New York, from memory ice cream bars were not exactly common in the UK then and more than a little expensive, but back to our meal Slim Jim decided to try one of those,

it was huge, I asked Diana if she wanted to share one, but was told no she was full to bursting with the main course and the included ice cream, maybe we will try one next time instead of the ice cream that came with the meal,

to round the meal off a latte coffee for myself,

and a normal coffee for Mr Tony,

which had a nice pattern on the top,

Mr Tony then decided to add a few more swirls himself,

we were all full to bursting, as we left we bumped into the owner/manager Lee and thanked him for a enjoyable meal,

after saying our goodbyes to Slim Jim,

we made our way up Soi Diana Inn going past the food stalls at the top of the road,

 we crossed Soi Bukaow,

and made our way up Soi Lengkee to where we had parked Mr Tony's car,

but before we got to the car who should we bump in to? none other than Russ and his Filipino girlfriend Riza, we had a bit of a chat and caught up on what was happening and hopefully will see Russ and Riza sometime in the future, we made our way back home and watched a number of satellite television shows, the good news for this evening was that the satellite television company had decided to let viewers that did not have HD broadcasts the chance to watch free for 1 month, so it made a nice change to watch Pickers and others in HD, later in the evening we said our goodbyes to Mr Tony we watched a little bit more television and then for us we were off to bed.
