For 5 Years Claire Marriott, 43, And Mother Doris, 83,

have raised funds for Elmhurst Gardens, in South Woodford, East London,

which can only be described as laudable, trying to help out with funds in these cash strapped times, you would have thought all would be well with this idea, but no, Health & Safety you see, a council inspector pounced,

although it seems all had been well for the past 5 years this year the couple had to fill in forms describing who had cooked the cakes and their hygiene provisions, next they were asked if they had completed a risk form and had public liability insurance, next snaps of their gazebo were taken, Claire said the Easter egg hunt in the park was the first time they had been targeted in five years of events for Elmhurst Gardens, in South Woodford, East London, she added: 'it’s red tape gone mad',

the council later said: “Officers check legislation is being followed.” I trust the same council is fining itself for letting this blatant act of law breaking go unnoticed for the previous 4 years.
