With The Missile Crisis In North Korea In Full Swing,

a unnamed officer posted this comment on his
Facebook page,

for Cadishead and Irlam in Greater Manchester, he began by advising anyone who found a missile in their garden not to contact police but instead to send it back to Pyongyang, the unnamed officer then added: 'I was driving into work today and thought it had happened already, then I remembered I was driving through Eccles' it appears the last part was a reference to a deprived part of Salford, well no offence from me to the people of Salford, but I did think the part about the property store was humorous,

but senior officers at Greater Manchester Police did not as they warned constables they can take the informal approach too far, they did not see the funny side of it at all, Superintendent Stuart Barton in Salford said officers had established a very good relationship with the community via Facebook, but added that 'some of the content of this particular post is not appropriate', which seems a shame as two of the Facebook posts had a total of 300 'likes' – with many commenting about how funny and refreshing they found them, but then we do not all share the same sense of humour.
