Off To The Photography Club,

where we meet,

a cold and grey start to the day,

no signs of spring in the park yet,

across Beckenham Green,

a few areas of the green,

with daffodils putting on a nice show,

in the graveyard,

a few more,

as well as snowdrops,

arriving at the school Sara was already there, we did not have long to wait for the van,

then we could start to sort through what would be needed for the exhibition at the Church,

the van loaded,

and secured,

I walked to the church, the High Street strangely deserted, no kids at school I guess,

we started unloading the van,

so many bits & pieces,

the heavy ones, the display boards,

and most important, the photographs, there will also be a display of images on a screen in the hall,

the empty hall that the club has hired for its annual exhibition,

unpacking the display boards,

and mounting them on their supports was next,

final positions made,

and the prints are starting to be affixed to the display boards,

one done, lots more to go,

by now there were several of us helping,

as visitors enter the hall,

this will be the first display they will see,

nearly done, the blue board at the far end is where the digital images will be shown, for anyone that missed this yesterday,

here are the details of the exhibition,

as most had been completed I made a move for home, past the church, (this is not the one the exhibition is in),

looking into the front graveyard, a few daffodils,

and snowdrops,

lots of snowdrops,

as I passed the green in one of the raised planters,

I noticed some bright red,

a few cyclamen were really colourful, arriving home I had breakfast and watched a few documentaries in the afternoon,

until my evening read and sherry, the latest copy of Private Eye arriving this morning,

for tonight a lamb hot pot, 'Cheers!',

then off for tonight's meeting, but not at the school, tonight we were going to the church hall where we set up the display earlier today, above the digital display of member images, on the left Brian who so kindly gave me so much of his time to show me how things worked with my new camera,

each member could submit 2 digital images and up to 3 prints,

a few boards were not completed when I left today, here they are, the first a friendly challenge with Image’In Périgny a French photographic club,

some of the images above,

the second board, images from days out and field trips organised by the club,

the third board in memorandum for Nenne van Dijk DPAGB, regrettably I did not have the chance to meet her,

some of her photographs displayed above,

the hall now bustling with club members, at the front seated looking at the digital images whilst others admired photographs on the boards, there was going to be 2 fun votes, one tonight where members gave one vote for the print and digital image they liked the best, (and no I did not vote for one of my own!), and for the open days members of the public could have a vote each for a print and a digital image, after the meeting I made my way home, Diana arriving shortly after me, so feet up for a Endeavour before we were both off to bed.
