After The Weekend It Was Back To Bromley,

we only brought hand luggage with us,
the 10.40 from Rainham to Bromley South pulls in,
40 minutes or so later and here we are,
gray skies have dogged us all week but hopefully things will improve this week, up the long hill to The Glades shopping center,
there must be a reason for these concrete balls, they are everywhere, but not close enough to stop traffic,
and we are here,
no sooner are we inside than Diana spots Hotel Chocolate,
please, please, pretty please!
I had to give in, now the choice which one? problem solved, buy them both!
a very happy Diana waits,
we almost detoured into the Disney store,
but alas there were no cases that we wanted, then in the paved off High Street there was a shop selling cases, so we had to buy two of them, this one for me and a smaller one for Diana inside my case, yes I know they are pink but they had to match and who in their right mind is going to have it away on his toes with a pink suitcase?
the sun eventually broke through,
the balloons were a kaleidoscope of color,
so many to chose from,
we also bought some fresh strawberries and raspberry's for later in the week if we ate at Steve's,
then to Daniel's to pick up some jewelery we had dropped off last week,
we both had not had breakfast so it was to the Partridge, just off Market Square,
inside it had a 'club' feel about it very nice and laid back as a gentleman's club should be, although this was just a pub,
nice lights and ceiling, sold wood and pillars completed the picture,
not to mention a well stocked bar!
there were 3 or 4 rooms leading off the main bar area, so small groups could have a little privacy, great place, next time we are in Bromley we will be back,
a very nice chicken curry for Diana and Scampi for me, all very reasonably priced,
when we arrived home Kai had just received her full driving license, she was so thrilled,
Steve kept his birthday quiet but tonight he was, along with his Mum, going to treat us for a meal, decision made it was The Taste Of India at Elmers End,
very nicely laid out as you would expect,
Diana, Steve's Mum, Kai, Steve and myself,
food served it was time to start,
there was so much food, but fear not none of it went to waste,
then the cake,
all blown out and make a wish,
naturally flowers for the ladies,
Diana as happy as ever,
a V & S on the balcony for Steve and myself then off to bed.
