Safari Hats On,

we are going after the big cats,

well Tigger seemed to know that we were going to see some of his cousins, as he came out to say bye,

Jade, Duncan, Diana, Amber and myself were going on safari,
to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, I have never been to one of these in the UK so a new experience for Diana and myself, walking to the entrance I spotted this motorcycle, from the other side it looked like an early Triumph but from this side with the push rod tunnel on the side it defiantly was not, it was a Far Eastern copy,
over the foot bridge, and there are the lions,
but here was the transport for the morning, to many people in front of us for this one,
but here comes our one now,
all aboard,
we first go through the rhino enclosure,
followed by the giraffe, they have 6 or 7 males here, which I guess means there are no plans to increase the size of the herd,
antelope taking things easy, I wonder if it knows there are no predators hunting it?
then a bit of British wild life, a fox,
a wildebeest or gnu as they are sometimes called,
the owners have had some success breeding ostriches,
we made our way up to the half way stage for a bite to eat and a drink,
there was a heated room there with lots of interesting things,
like snakes,
this one a python,
red footed tortoise,
blue poison arrow frogs,
I do not know the name of this snake, but he does look a pretty shade of green,
a bush baby,
and bugs, lots and lots of bugs,
an iguana,
and a lizard whose head looks like it has come straight out of Jurassic Park,
it also has a gift shop,
as you might expect seeing so many humans the animals come quite close to the trucks,
then back through the rhino enclosure, well that was the morning over, certainly a different way to start the day, also our legs were still a bit sore from the previous couple of days walking, remember in Thailand it is motorbike taxis every where! so on to the afternoon.
