Up Early And Off To The Bank,

where does all the money go?
looking towards the sea where I park for the bank, then off to the Sun Day fishing park in Soi Siam Country Club,
Nick and Ta-Taa waiting for the big one,
one of the workers at the park came past with 3 small birds in a nest, I am not sure if he is going to rear them or consign them to the pot,
things were a bit quiet on the fishing front so I had a look around at these banana plants,
another few weeks and it will be bananas all round,
then I was into a real rod bender, the first (and last of the day),
easy does it,
a nice big catfish for the pot, or I should say bar-b-q,
the day had been overcast since we arrived, then the rain set in,
but the guy who looks after the park sprang into action, from nowhere he found an umbrella,
well two in fact, it was just like fishing in the UK, wet, but at least it was warm,
then home to Nick and Maureen's, their coconut palm had lots of fruit, Nick had very kindly husked 6 or more for Diana to take home with us, but Diana is going to try one now,
then time to serve the main course, a delicious chicken casserole, just what we all needed after a hard days fishing, followed by cheese and biscuits, beetroot and celery,
meanwhile Ta-Taa looks on,
Diana tucks into another coconut, we all had a lovely day and many thanks to Nick and Maureen for taking such good care of us, then home to 388,
feet up to watch Chinatown, murder, incest, corruption, with Jake Nicholson, John Huston and Faye Dunaway, what more could a movie want? great plot with a twist in the tail, it is all about water, I believe Mark Twain once said 'whisky is for drinking water is for fighting over', so true in this film, then on to Hill Street Blues, for those that know the series Phil has just led Cindy to the alter, then for us off to bed.

Hi Stanley
I live in Norway and I follow what you and Jil are up to.
We used to bump into each other sometimes on the walking street. A Thai man called Deng had the bar. This must be a good ten years ago. I remember we all went fishing at some little place.
When in Pattaya I live in Diana Estate. Soi Boukau.Regards Michael

Dear Michael, the bar was the New Gold Star bar owned by Deng/Dang, he still owns the bar but does not go there very often, I think one of his brothers/cousins runs it now, I can not remember what fishing park we went to at the time, 10 or more years ago there were so many of them, now just 4 or 5 that are still here, 2 in Jomtien, one on Third Road, Nagluha and Soi Siam Country Club, but the one in Nagluha may have already closed, best regards, Stan and Diana.
