They're Changing Guard At Buckingham Palace,

so the song goes,
and that is where we are going, Kai and Diana,
Steve and myself,
we were going to take the Pullman, but it had to go to Vienna first, the Pullman crest,
what a way to enter a train, the finish is so fine,
we left Victoria station behind us and made our way towards Buckingham Place,
then just like that this building seemed to have let time pass it by,
we also walked past this church, but that is all I can tell you about it,
then up a side street and I stopped, I could not believe my eyes, a push bike in a shop window for £8,999.00 you could buy a car for that, but as Steve said, he is a keen cyclist, it is amongst other things ultra light, but the chain you would need to keep it secure when you left it must put the weight on again! I think I must be missing the point somewhere,
we had not eaten yet so a quick stop for bite to eat,
cheese and bacon sandwich for Diana, pie, chips and beans for me,
I think Steve had a English breakfast and Kai a lasagna,
now that is a nice address in London, No.1,
there were lots of people about although we were quite early,
it was more crowded as we got closer,
Diana, on the other side of the road from the place,
a couple of police horses go by,
the sun finally comes out,
as two more riders go by,
then here they come, a great sight to behold,
not a note wrong, the music totally in time,
the band followed by the guard,
all in perfect step,
Diana was so happy to see them,
who said keep off the grass?
then the Hussars made an entrance from the Mall,
every one spotless,
they made their way around the round about,
meanwhile the guards were changed,
so we made or way up the Mall as the one of the bands would have to return that way, I tried to get Diana to stroke the horse, she is not too scared of them like she is by dogs but she would still not good to close,
then along came the band,
the music was just so right,
then the troops marched past,
with a police escort, it was a wonderful ceremony to watch and listen to,
by the way, They're Changing Guard At Buckingham Palace, was a song/poem written by A. A. Milne the writer of Winnie the Pooh, here are a few lines from it,
They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace
Christopher Robin went down with Alice
Alice is marrying one of the guard"
A soldier's life is terrible hard" (pause) says Alice
They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace
Christopher Robin went down with Alice
We saw a guard in a sentry box
"One of the sergeants is after their socks" -says Alice
We looked for the King but he never came
"Well, God take care of him, all the same". -says Alice
then look out for a black cab, guess where we are going next?
