Our Visit To Down House And Sunday Lunch,

having seen a couple of DVD's about Charles Darwin, and his home, Down House being fairly close we decided to pop in to have a look before Sunday lunch,
the gardens open on Sundays at 10.00 but the house does not open till 11.00,
no Diana is not going to eat one of the apples!
Charles Darwin moved here in 1842 and stayed here until his death some 40 years later,
a lot of the original features are still here like the green house,
in side a display of pitcher plants on one side and orchids on the other,
us by the mulberry tree,
the girls resting their feet for a few moments, if you are in the area this is a great way to spend a few hours. the rooms are laid out almost as if Darwin was still there,
then off to the Eden Park Lodge for a sit down Sunday lunch,
followed by huge ice creams, Diana says she is going on a diet when we get back to Thailand, well we shall see!
outside the Carvery Inn and Lodge,
then to PC world, I needed yet another memory card, these two kind people came to my rescue as there were so many cards to chose from,
then a Sunday night drink out with the boys, Steve and Mark, not long now soon we will be going home.
