Diana Was On Early Shift Today,

so first thing before she arrived home I played with a couple of photographs,

both of these, 

taken on one of our trips to Venice, in the afternoon Diana returned home, later we were out, 

onto a number 54 bus alighting here at the Odeon cinema,

 

we made our way inside, looking back towards the war memorial,

inside lots of treats, 

a bag of Butterkist popcorn, a savory bag of nibbles for Diana and a diet coke and we were inside, 

to watch The Naked Gun, the new version with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr. it was so funny in so many places, but for us we both agreed that the deep gravely voice that Neeson used was distracting and annoying, but there it is, how could anyone hope to fill the shoes of Leslie Nielsen in the originals? as we left I mentioned to Diana that many years in ago in 1970 or around then, the cinema we were just in did not have 5 or 6 different theaters, but just one huge one, upstairs a ballroom where every Friday night Duncan, Roy, Dave and myself amongst others would attend the Court School of Ballroom Dancing, yes really, in those days we were ballroom dancing! and afterward we would all go to the Wimpy by the bus stop, that was still here today, so that was it, our evening meal sorted, 

Diana never had eaten a Wimpy before, and for myself it was the first time since my ballroom dancing days that I had been inside here, 

we went to a vacant table, inside everything was pretty much the same, the cooking station in the same place in full view, 

a banana milkshake to start, 

which was rather nice, 

a normal burger for Diana, a double burger for myself with no cheese,

both with chips, a orange juice for Diana and a extra bowl of onion rings, it was all so nice, the bill came to just over £30.00, arriving home it was feet up for a Deadliest Catch, after that tonight a film was showing that Diana said she would like to watch, 

The Hunt For Red October, a highly enjoyable submarine thriller, after which Diana was more than a tad tired, a early morning start then straight out to watch a movie, so she was off to bed, for myself a double helping of Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
