We Were Up Early,

and on our way, sort of,

we are going to visit Rainham Steve, all was well, but when we looked to confirm the train times a hour or so before we left, the train from Beckenham Junction to Bromley South had been cancelled! so a mini cab it was to Bromley South for the train to Rainham to meet Rainham Steve, at his home his back garden was the venue for our Sunday lunch along with Bob & Debbie, it was perfect,

as was Steve's man apron,

first things first, open the bubbly,

any second now,

the cork was up and away,

after a delicious lobster bisque soup, we all tucked into a roast beef Sunday roast with all of the trimmings,

and the the pièce de résistance, a sherry trifle made by Steve, who it has to be said was once a professional chef, Debbie,

and Bob admiring his creation,

and here he is,

the portions served with cream were huge,

and so delicious, Diana and myself both agreed that it was the most delicious trifle we had ever tasted, what a wonderful day we all had, a big thank you and huge well done to Steve, in the evening after saying our farewells we were soon on the train back to Bromley South,

where Mr. Sleep paid me a visit, arriving at Bromley South no train to Beckenham Junction so a Grab taxi it was, except there were not any! thankfully after 20 minutes or so a bus arrived, so home we went, Diana went straight to bed as she is on early shift tomorrow, for myself a spiced rum and a Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
