I Have Not Been Posting Daily,

as I am now in the shop everyday helping Graham and Carl get the premises ready for sale,

and also trying to get the blog up-to-date with our holiday photographs, but I have to mention that yesterday Rainham Steve invited Bob and Debbie, Diana and myself down to his home for a Sunday lunch, it was superb, starting with some bubbly of course,

for our starters scallops and huge prawns in a garlic sauce,

we were then treated tp a lamb Kleftiko, a classic slow-roasted dish where the meat is cooked until it is fall-off-the-bone tender. The name literally means "stolen meat" and refers to the Greek rebels (Klephts) who would cook stolen lamb in hidden, sealed underground pits to avoid detection during the Ottoman rule, and delicious it was too,

after a break a choice of 2 home made desserts, sherry trifle,

or a Eaton mess, I should say that Steve is such a good chef he has a regular demand for his desserts,

followed by a lovely selection of cheeses,

and of course a few bottles of novelty wine, we all had such a wonderful time, many, many thanks to Steve and to Bob and Debbie for giving Diana and myself a lift home, arriving there Diana was off to bed as she has a 04.00AM start tomorrow, for myself a few spiced rums before I to was off to bed.
