A Few Friends Called In Yesterday,

first Jay and Precil, then later Mark arrived, so the girls popped upstairs whilst the three of us put the world to rights with countless cups of tea, I was giving all of the aquariums a 20% water change and clean up, so I needed a break! when it was time for them to leave it was raining, so Mark had the chance to wear his new geotex poncho, he had it brought over from the UK, the advantage is that it keeps the rain out but does not keep your perspiration in, a big problem with plastic ponchos,
it was also time for Jay and Precil to say bye, then for us glad rags on and out for a meal,
Diana looking as lovely as ever,
we both love Indian food, so where else than Ali Babar on Pattaya Central Road, it is nearly opposite Topps near the beach,
inside for us it looks just as an Indian restaurant should look,
so many are just a room with tables and no decoration,
after some poppadoms we shared a prawn puri and chicken chat, both meals in themselves,
we changed places, it was a bit cold where Diana was sitting as she was in the direct flow of the air conditioner,
then the main course arrived,
chicken tikka, butter chicken, rice with peas and a garlic nam bread, 'Cheers!' from me,
it does not look a lot, but we were so full we could not eat a dessert, the bill was 1,700 baht, but I did have 3 or 4 glasses of red wine at 100 baht a glass, the food excellent, the service first class, just look at a waiter and they were there immediately, I must admit that is one thing I have noticed over the years in many restaurants over here, most of the waiters/waitresses totally ignore you when trying to get their attention, I find nothing worse than having to frail your hands in the air when you are trying to order food, it never happens in Ali Babar,
then the Secrets taxi home,
a change of clothes than feet up for The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear, another fun movie we both find this sort of humour so funny, to round of the evening, Kavanagh QC, Briefs Trooping Gaily, Kavanagh, who is still mourning his wife's death, has to defend a woman charged with killing her abusive husband, meanwhile Jeremy is torn between the demands of his lead role in a Gilbert & Sullivan production; and a charge of professional misconduct for looking at a defense brief, I mentioned to Diana the more I see of Jeremy the more I feel sorry for him and the more I dislike Kavanagh, Diana agreed, but then perhaps that is the way it was supposed to work? then off to bed.
