so off we went to Jaynor motorcycle repair shop,
the bike had not been serviced in a while,
so pretty much all that can wear out had,
so it was going to be a while before the job was done,
lots of bits taken off already,
but worse was to come, it needed a new rear hub, sprocket and chain,
so Diana decided to wait with Dad,
whilst the shop owner looked on,
meanwhile Joe and myself went for a late breakfast to Charlie Hotel,
outside I noticed this bike, not quiet to my taste but some one had spent more than a few pennies on it,
the restaurant itself is quiet small,
but we had eaten here before and knew the food was good,
meal finished we were of for a drive but before that I noticed this tidy machine,
then off away from the city along Field's Avenue, this high rise is a new building,
that has between built next to the original block,
past the church,
and also past where we will be eating this evening, the Cottage Kitchen Cafe,
all of this driving gave us a bit of a thirst so where better for a cool beer than the Rockin Horse?
one of the many veterinary surgery's that are out here,
I should also mention that the restaurant we are going to tomorrow in the Oasis Hotel complex is also out this way,
as is the Blind Beggar pub,
we had a call that the bike was repaired so we made our way back, but the traffic was almost gridlocked,
which gave me a chance to take this picture of the new Air Asia Hotel,
tricycle repaired and ready to go,
all of the bits that were replaced,
and the bike is looking almost as good as new,
so we decided on another cool beer,
but before that these two guys wanted to have their picture taken,
another quick stop,
then we realised why the traffic was so bad,
tomorrow is election day,
so the main streets are clogged with supporters,
in huge convoys,
smiles all round,
with everyone putting their favourite candidates picture on display, in tricycles,
trucks,
and vans,
the traffic was so bad we just had to stop again,
then back past the church,
the old,
and new rainbow building,
a shower for Diana and myself and a shave for me, then we were back to the Cottage Kitchen Cafe,
unfortunately Jim the owner died last year but all of the food that the restaurant was most famous for is still here,
there is a choice on Saturday of a buffet plus of course the full menu,
for seating there are tables in the main area plus a number of booths to chose from,
I decided on the prawns and cornbread,
which were delicious,
whilst Joe went for the buffet,
Diana declined a starter,
but for her main course chose the blacken chicken,
Joe continued with the buffet,
I chose a steak,
meal over we were then out on the town,
the street was as popular as ever,
with many of the go-gos lighting the street with their signs,
now this is going to sound strange, we went into this club one floor up, but something about looking down gave me a really bad feeling, basically my fear of heights, but it seemed so strange when everyone else was fine,
so I had to have a vodka to calm me down!
well maybe a couple, but with that we were off to bed.
