and then I read about this long legged one today,
it looks a bit strange as it appears to be walking through a building, but at the Giraffe Childcare Center that is what it is supposed to do, the reason for the animal is an attempt to make a child's visit to the hospital a better experience, the center was designed by Hondelatte Laporte Architectes and has a few more animals in it's menagerie, including the towering yellow giraffe (which has since become its icon due to its visibility from all angles), there is a polar bear and a handful of ladybugs climbing over part of the building's facade,
the Giraffe Child centre is located beside Jean Nouvel's Horizons offices, in the riverside Boulogne-Billancourt district in the south-west of the city of Paris, I wonder if the idea will catch on with other hospitals?.
