First Thing,

we were on our way,

to Nick and Maureen's then on to the fishing park,

we again chose the Mamak fishing park,

here is the map, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is on the right hand side, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!,

beautiful blue skies today,

with lots of white fluffy clouds,

enough of that, I was soon into a fish,

landed with the help of Nick,

the fish was sent to the kitchen when Nick caught one,

the score 1 all,

that one too was sent to the kitchen, well there were a lot of us to feed today,

it was so hot today,

then number two to me,

then Nick evened the score,

meanwhile the first two had been cooked,

and served with rice,

one of the parks cats arrived with the cooked fish, I guess it knows that a few pieces of fish might come it's way,

when no fish arrived on the floor it became a little vocal,

then decided that as we had not heard it to take a place on one of the seats at the table, but then the owner arrived and took it away,

so it was eyes down and tuck in,

the same as the last time we were here the lotus were flowering at the far end of the lake,

so I zoomed in to take a picture,

Nick and myself were talking about the coconut tree next to us and how new varieties now produce nuts just 2 or 3 meters from the ground, so I had a look at this one, the number of nuts it was producing was huge, but I noticed something else in the tree,

in almost the centre of the picture there was a green sort of thing hanging down,

the tail of a snake and a few of it's coils above it,

then it's head popped out to take a look at me, we all had a look at the snake, naturally for the next 10 minuets or so Sandio terrorised his sisters and mother by creeping up on them pinching the back of their legs yelling 'snake!', great fun unless it was your turn to be tricked,

by this time Nick had the lead 5-3 so it was time to try and catch up,

Mum decided on 40 winks,

I had another look at the snake, it had moved,

and was looking straight at me,

Diana decided to plat Dioshanes hair,

then the sound of the mobile sales cart that we had all been waiting for,

the ice cream cart,

back to the fishing I noticed a dragonfly was having a meal,

and in the coconut tree there was not one but two snakes at home in it,

it was time to go, the score finally settling at 7-5 to me, in the late afternoon luck turned my way, so some went back and some will be on the barbie on Saturday,

back at Nick and Maureen's it was time for a swim,

and a few predinner spring rolls,

and a beer,

Nick made us all a delicious Panang curry,

then his special chocolate cake,

Nick carefully cut the cake,

making sure that Dioshane,

and Sandio,

both had the same sized piece,

we all had some,

and then there was none left,

what a perfect way to end a perfect day, after thanking Nick and Maureen for looking after us all so well and saying our goodbyes we made a move for home, then after a night cap or three we were off to bed.
