It Was Play With The Cactus Today,

one had gotten a little bit too big,

so it had to go, I am not sure what it actually is, but it was growing at an alarming rate,

so it was replaced with one we bought in the market,

there was also a small space in one of the other pots,

so I placed a new one in there too, I must remember to buy some more gravel the next time we are out,

whilst making a hole for the new cactus I dislodged one of these small ones that appeared by the original one,

it does not appear to have a root of any kind,

so I just popped it into the soil in view of it's family,

next on to the tomatoes, I decided on a coconut,

and soil mix,

will it make them grow? who knows! but we will see in the next few months,

I cut some of the bamboos that we had to make supports for them,

but I run out of bamboo, we also needed some charcoal and string, so off to the local hardware shop,

the amount of stock these shops hold has to be seen to be believed,

I arrived home with a stack of 2 meter long bamboos, just 70 baht, but the ride home had it's moments with these under my arm on the bike!

back to mixing the soil,

I have never been a gardener back in the UK, but it seems like good fun,

anyway pots and supports completed, I will plant the seedlings on Monday,

a wash and brush up and we were out at the front of the house for our evenings bar-b-q,

New Zealand mussels with garlic for our starters,

with a couple of huge pork chops for the main course,

so it was time to light the fire,

another impression of a destroyer being given the command 'Make Smoke',

but with the help of the fan the fire soon took,

and the charcoal was glowing nicely,

on with the garlic bread,

'Cheers!',

quite a bit of cloud this evening,

then on with the chops, Diana was trying a new marinade on her one,

a top up of wine and we were ready to tuck in,

Diana had also bought some belly pork which she cooked in the oven so we had lots of crackling, delicious! after chatting the evening away it was inside for Psycho, the original 1960 version, by now it was late so we were then off to bed.
