there is also on the market oat
milk or soy milk,
and now welcome the new kid on the block, potato milk, I kid you not! this new dairy alternative is apparently “deliciously creamy” and works great
for homemade lattes and cappuccinos, DUG,
is the world’s only commercially
available potato milk brand, which recently made its debut on the UK market, the
companies version of potato milk contains maltodextrin, pea protein, chicory
fiber, rapeseed oil, fructose (a sugar), sucrose (a sugar), acidity regulator,
calcium carbonate, sunflower lecithin (an emulsifier), natural flavor, and is
laced with vitamins,
one of advantages of this product is that the potato
uses a lot less land and resources than other plants that are currently used
for milk, which makes both the vegetable and the milk more affordable, as for taste, the
success of this dairy alternative isn’t guaranteed, as some who have tried it
either described its taste as “neutral” or complained of a saline aftertaste, but in tea or coffee it may be acceptable, anyway if I see any for sale I will give it a try, doing my bit to save the planet!
