the famous writer,
he also wrote all of these, Bleak House, Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, Hard Times, A Tale of Two Cities, The Pickwick Papers, Ghost Stories and David Copperfield, as well as many short stories, he also corresponded with many people, but some times he wished his letters to be secret,
so he developed his own secret code, used in the letter above, but what was the letter about? Dickens “learned a difficult shorthand system called Brachygraphy and
wrote about the experience in his semi-autobiographical novel, David
Copperfield, calling it a ‘savage stenographic mystery,'” says The Dickens Code, a web site dedicated
to solving that mystery, and now the code has been cracked, the
code-crackers are two American programmers (one had never read Dickens before)
using internet resources like Reddit as an operation of international teamwork,
apparently the message was just about resolving a small dispute over an advertisement
in The Times of London Newspaper, for the full story have a look here.
