The Roof Next Door,

is defiantly on the ducks flight path,

again today,

two,

then three ducks settled there, I know I keep saying it, but for myself it still seems strange to see ducks on the roof of a house,

Diana had already left for work, it had been raining in the morning, but when it finished I started on my way to the shop for some RO water,

I walked as far as here when it started to rain again,

but thankfully stopped as I reached Foxgrove Lodge,

the wisteria now finished but the roses putting on a good show,

like this one, next on to a number 54 bus to the shop, but as it drove past the green I noticed this,

the green getting ready for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations which runs from 2 - 5 June 2022, marking Her Majesty's 70 years of service as the country's monarch,

into Kingfisheries for some RO water,

whilst there I took a few photographs of some of the marine invertebrates for sale, these are coral frags as they are called, customers grow these and exchange them for goods, contrary to popular belief many corals grow extremely fast and are easy to reproduce in home aquariums, reducing the need for collecting wild specimens,

the small frags will soon grow into a colony like this,

green button polyps,

and a spiny sea urchin, one you defiantly do not want to step on in the wild!

in the outdoor pond section some new waterlilies had arrived,

some koi under the moss covered water fall,

in the first pool,

gold as well as lemon coloured goldfish,

indoors a really strange creature, a albino axolotl, (Ambystoma mexicanum), it is a paedomorphic salamander related to the tiger salamander. The species was originally found in several lakes, such as Lake Xochimilco underlying Mexico City. Axolotls are unusual among amphibians in that they reach adulthood without undergoing metamorphosis, strangely enough they are popular pets

if ever you want to visit Kingfisheries, it is on Croydon Road, the A222, on the corner of Yew Tree Road on the opposite corner of the BP garage,

arriving home it was time for a read and a sherry,

for my meal this evening, chicken chow mein,

'Cheers!',

meal finished and I was out again,

no rain this time,

a few more of the peonies had now opened,

the roses looking nice in the early evening sun's rays,

I walked past the green, with its decorations,

some of the lamp posts had also been decorated,

a look at ASK Italian by the bus stop, the 227 soon arrived,

and in no time I was here at the Moon & Stars to meet up with Steve, we chatted the night away,

after saying our farewells it was back on the 227 to the churchyard, and home where Diana was waiting, by sheer happenstance I arrived home just as a Silent Witness was starting, which we watched before we were off to bed.
