Do Not Mess With Fish 112,

and you thought fish were fun! well not if you catch a UK record breaking fish then prepare it for the bar-b-q before recording its weight, but that is what Mark Cook did when he caught an electric blue Almaco Jack, normally seen in the Caribbean, the fish was around 2lb and between 12-15" long, only a handful have ever been found in British waters, but Mark and pal Nick Walmisham scaled and gutted it ready for dinner before checking with local angling expert John Rogers what it was, John immediately identified it — and told them it could have landed them a place in the record books, John said: "The two of them had been camping and after catching this fish they started preparing it for their dinner," Nick and Mark caught it off Sennen Cove, Cornwall, after taking advice from John about the best fishing spots in the area, so it was the one that sort of got away, so near a record - but so far.
