A Wet Start To Friday,

we are off to the Soi Bukoaw market, luckily it had stopped raining, but it was still wet out, so there were no police around asking for tea money, funny how you never see them when it is raining or wet,

we went through to the fish/pet/plant area first,

a quick look at the aquarium shop, but they could not tempt me with any of their wares,

bearing in mind it has been raining all morning, it will rain again today and the ground is soaking wet, I always feel a little uneasy when I see unfused mains voltage cable plugged in like this,

so I always try not to step on them as they snake their way to the stalls,

the awnings that normally act as sunshades also do a good job of keeping the rain off the shoppers and stall holders,

there was a nice selection of water lilies in the plant section,

and a few colour varieties of hydrangeas,

with the rainy season with us pretty much everything is in flower and looking lush,

as indeed was the orchid section,

the same specie but two different colour varieties,

and now for one completely different!

this is the shrine by the corner coffee bar/restaurant, I would have thought elephants would have been on the sides of the shrine not horses, but there must be a reason for the horses,

Diana arrives at the coffee shop, nothing took her fancy today,

ice coffee for me, 40 baht,

then down to the bank, the sun had come out now and the streets were dry,

back home, a quick shower and change then off to the night market in Tepprisitt, we have just parked up with the tennis courts behind us,

it is still before 6.00 so many of the stalls have not set up yet,

I walked down one aisle whilst Diana walked down the other,

opposite the bar this week a shoe stall,

a smaller shoe and hat stall,

Mick, myself and Geoff at the bar, Mick 'on the wagon',

Mass and Diana return from shopping, Diana had bought a few things to munch on later this evening,

then on the other side of the bar Diana noticed this stall selling 'T' shirts, so she was off on a mission!

success!

we then made our way home past one of the shrines,

I do enjoy a good beef stew and that is what Diana is making tonight, if there is one thing to make it even better still it is the addition of dumplings, Nick and Maureen know this so when they last returned from the UK they very kindly brought over a pack of Atora, suet that you make dumplings from, Diana tried and they were perfect, then feet, up a fresh mango and watch some television, Diana has really gotten to like One Foot In The Grave, so much so that is all we watched for the whole evening, I do wish she would stop calling me Victor though! then off to bed.
