We Are Out Early Today,

so straight on with the post,

first stop the fishing tackle shop, it is on Thepprasit Road, just before the petrol stations on the same side about 200 meters before them as you are heading towards Sumkivitt,

next stop the 3BB office to pay for our Internet connection,

it seems strange seeing the front of the condos with out the hundreds of stalls that are normally there when we visit the weekend night market,

in the afternoon Jay called round for a tea and a chat, he very kindly dropped us off,

at Cherry's, it is on Third Road opposite what was once the X-Cite disco,

Diana looking as lovely as ever,

we started at the salad bar,

before moving on to the starters,

which included a nice selection of sushi,

plus a choice for this week of tomato or tom yum goong soup,

there were some 15 or so main courses, plus what you see here, the carvery, pasta, pizza and a full selection of vegetables,

'Cheers!', as we tuck into our starters,

and after a break our main courses,

it does not look that big, but Diana had a huge rack of ribs,

followed by pasta and spaghetti,

on to the desserts and what a selection, plus a freezer full of ice cream, we were so full at the end of the meal we declined the included coffees, the cost of the International buffet which is held every Wednesday and Saturday evenings was 399 baht each plus drinks, great food, a huge selection and reasonably priced, I have to say this venue is getting popular, tonight the place was packed to capacity with many dinners having to wait for a table,

we watched The Caine Mutiny, a 1954 made film, Humphrey Bogart is Lt. Commander Queeg, the skipper of the minesweeper Caine, who when involuntarily relieved of his command during a violent typhoon, brings his officers up on charges for conspiring, The Caine Mutiny was nominated for seven 1954 Academy Awards, a great if somewhat unknown to many movie,

we followed that with a movie made just one year later, Bad Day at Black Rock, one I had not seen in so many years, the quick plot, Spencer Tracy is John J. MacReedy, a one-armed stranger who comes to the tiny town of Black Rock one hot summer day in 1945, the first time the train has stopped there in years, He looks for both a hotel room and a local Japanese farmer named Komoko, but his inquiries are greeted at first with open hostility, then with blunt threats and harassment, and finally with escalating violence, MacReedy soon realizes that he will not be allowed to leave Black Rock; town boss Reno Smith (Robert Ryan), who had Komoko killed because of his hatred of the Japanese, has also marked MacReedy for death, MacReedy must battle town thugs, a treacherous local woman (Anne Francis), and finally Smith himself to stay alive, another great if somewhat not so well known movie which we both thoroughly enjoyed, a few from Columbo then for us we were off to bed.
