I Am Only Making One Post Today,

in fact I will only be making one post a day for all of this week,

as Diana had this week off, so we will be out every day, back to Sunday it was a strange day as unusually Diana had to go into work, so we had a late Sunday lunch, first a read and a sherry, 'Cheers!',

followed by our starters, duck pancakes with salad,

which was drizzled with balsamic vinegar,

on to our main course, gammon ham with gravy for Diana,

sans gravy for myself,

another 'Cheers!',

with a real treat, cherry pie with cream and ice cream, delicious, we followed that in the early evening with one from Columbo, and a Bond,

No Time To Die, another great film from the Bond franchise,

we rounded off the evening with Medieval, the film is loosely based on the history of Jan Zizka, born on or around 1360 in the village of Trocnov in the Kingdom of Bohemia. During his early life he lost an eye, during unrest in Bohemia, Zizka served John Sokol, a prestigious Bohemian noble. Sokol served on the staff of Polish King Wladyslaw II at the Battle of Grunwald fought on July 13, 1410. The epic battle drew nobility and knights from far and wide, and therefore it is entirely possible that Zizka was present with Sokol to assist the Polish-Lithuanian army in its fight against the Teutonic Knights. The following year Queen Sofia of Bohemia hired Zizka as a bodyguard. It was in her service that Zizka met priest Jan Hus and became a devout follower of the Bohemian reformer, as for the film if you like medieval films this one hits all of the buttons, after which we were off to bed.
