some people are just so desperate to own one,
but this lady has to take the biscuit for the most unusual way to steal one, the
woman, surnamed Qiu, wandered into an Apple Store in Fuzhou City, China’s
Fujian Province, as you might imagine security cameras everywhere, but she decided
to take a chance, but, instead of after looking around grab the camera and run
for it, she decided to chew through the cable!, as it happens it had the same effect,
the alarm sounded but store staff thinking it was another false alarm switched
it off, Oiu calmly left the store, allegedly camera in bag, but store staff noticed
the missing camera, with facial recognition operating the police almost beat
her to her home! the woman tried explaining that she had recently lost her
phone and she intended to buy another but as she could not afford to spend 7,000
yuan, at today's rate £765.92 or $960.77, on a new phone, she decided to steal it instead. She now faces a
prison sentence of three years, and a 200,000 yuan, £21,984.74 or $27,450.66, fine, in China crime really does not pay!
