and I was out,
to visit Duncan, I had called the nursing home and found out that he had been released from hospital so I drove to the nursing home, arriving the rain that had held off started as I walked from the car park, what a change from yesterday!
inside Duncan was not his usual self, he barely ate any of the cherries that I had brought down, and unexpectedly did not want any of his favorite crisps, salt & vinegar, I stayed for nearly 2 hours but towards the end of my visit he was nodding off, I guess it is the result of the medication he was on, I asked one of the nurses but as I am not family they could tell me nothing, hopefully next week he will be back to his usual self, a grey drive home, in the afternoon Alan popped in to say Hi, and brought a few photographs to play with,
Stonehenge on a grey misty morning,
with a touch of sky added,
another view from the roadside,
altered a tad,
the tunnel in the woods,
with just a few changes, I printed them up for Alan so he can use them at home, after saying our goodbyes,
it was time for a beef salad, 'Cheers!',
then my film for the evening, Public Enemies, the Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s, an enjoyable movie, with more than a grain of truth in the telling, for me in real life the role of Melvin Purvis showed just how tenacious the 'G-Men' as they were called had become, as it finished Diana arrived home so a coffee and a chat before we were off to bed.
