as I started playing with the printer,
a couple of the inks were getting down to nearly a quarter full, so a top up and a test page printed,
then downstairs to the garden,
for our first ever bar b q at our home,
charcoal bricks alight with a touch of bar b q firelighter,
Diana arrived home, I had started the fire 20 minutes or so before she arrived,
in no time sausages and chicken were ready to go, Diana had prepared a salad to go with the chicken and also brought home some rolls for the sausages, what a lovely way to spend the afternoon and early evening, meal over and we were back upstairs for a Outback Opal Hunters and a Deadliest Catch, followed by a Midsomer Murder, after which Diana was off to bed, a early start tomorrow, for myself a Have I Got A Bit More News For You before before I too was off to bed.

Hi Stan, apologies I’ve not been reading the blog for a while. I am now retired in Pattaya (well, Pratumnak) for the last year. I doubt you would recognise the place now. Lots of changes.
Are you still happy back in the UK? Lots moving overseas because of the Government, cost of living etc.
Anyway, hope Diana and yourself are all OK
Dear Mocha Joe, nice to see you back, as it happens last year I meet a few friends last year on Pratumnak, like the rest of Pattaya lots of changes, I will be in Pattaya this year again for the last 2 weeks of October and the first 2 weeks of November, perhaps a beer or three? If you want to meet up send a comment with your email address, (I will not publish it of course), and we can meet for a meal somewhere. We are still happy in the UK, although we would prefer Thailand but with the visa regulations changing and costing a lot more, then reaching back then 70 years old our BUPA health care added together became an unmanageable cost, so we cut the ties and came to the UK. Diana really likes her job and is doing well. You may have missed that one of my lifelong friends Steve died at the end of January of a massive heart attack, after a mild one the week before, we all miss him greatly. On another note I have gone back to my hobby of photography, which I am enjoying immensely, as for the costs over here, 'Ouch!' nothing is reasonable any more, but there is little we can do about it, both major political parties willfully ignoring the wishes of the people and continuing on a policy of adding to a mountain of debt daily, but there it is, but we are still so happy to be here, best regards, Stan and Diana.
Hi Stan. Firstly, feel free to edit or not publish if I say anything controversial.
Yes, I’d love to meet up with you later this year. That would be great.

Walking Street (and even parts of Beach Road) have basically turned into ‘little India’, and not for the better. Large groups of Indian men with no manners and wanting to spend nothing! I.E. One large bottle of Chang with five straws between the five of them! I kid you not! Same when they take a bar girl. Wanting to barter the price and all have a turn! They have even been know to urinate in the sea (Probably don’t want to spend 10b to use a bar lavatory!) - Disgusting!
Hence Pratumnak and Jomtien are a nice oasis away from that. I can eventually see Soi Buakhow being what Walking Street used to be.
The name Steve rings a bell, but I’d need to see a photo. I think I remember him. So sorry for your loss.
I recall your pal ‘slim’ Jim. Is he still about?
Good to see you are taking up the photography again. Ever considered a drone? Can see some awesome images with those.
I remember you had a fantastic train set. Did you have to leave it in Thailand?
Regards,
Mocha Joe (Paul)
