Just After Breakfast,

I had a call from Steve,

he was on his way to the Punch & Judy for his lunch, as it happened I had just finished a coffee with Kieth from ESC who had just called round for this years rental payment for our burglar alarm, so off I went after saying goodbye to Keith, there outside the pub was Steve's motorcycle as I pulled up,

looking almost new after the damage it had sustained in the floods,

no one to take my picture as I walked in as Diana was at home,

there is lots of seating outside for any one wishing to watch the world go by,

Steve was just finishing a huge plate of chicken pate, so we had a good chat then it was time for him to go to work and for us to go shopping,

we had tried numerous stores looking for tonic water amongst other things like diet coke/Pepsi, etc but none were to be had, due I guess to the recent floods, also many things are still going up, for instance on the night of the fireworks the girls went to McDonald's on Beach Road, a 29 baht pie had risen to 40 baht literally overnight!

we had also run out of mini oranges, so a detour to the market,

 we were quiet early,

so many of the stalls had not yet opened,

 2 kilos of oranges, success!

next stop I called in to say Hi! to Don and have a look at his fish,

Mark called round for a cup of tea and a chat, he brought his outback hat with him,

which was a crushable one, just roll it up and fit it in the bag,

at night all of the tree lights were still working,

then we settled down to watch a few DVDs, first a National Geographic, the Sinking of the Belgrano, the good news from this incident was that two members of the crew from the Belgrano and the submarine that sank it meet up to place a wreath on the site of the sinking,

then a bit of seasonal festive fun, Santa Who? Santa Claus develops amnesia after accidentally falling out of his sleigh and only the innocence of a small child can save him, good film for this time of the year,

keeping to good fun, Mars Attacks! the earth is under attack by Martians, great fun, the facial expressions of the invaders really means that dialogue from them is not needed, the special effects and irony of some of the characters is superb,

then to a much more serious theme, The Statement is a film about an ageing French-Nazi war criminal who finds himself on the run, who is protected by the church, but as his pursuers start to close on ties must be broken,

to round the evening off Midsomer Murders, Not in My Back Yard, the planing committee of Great Pelfe is under the spotlight as some of the planners have plans of their own, I almost worked this one out, but failed at the third hurdle from last! then for us off to bed.
