Warning!

there are graphic images in this post, the result of a motorcycle accident,

you may remember I finished the last post at the beginning of Walking Street, it was about 10.00 in the evening, as we were walking Steve said he was beginning to feel unwell, going dizzy, feeling nauseous and going hot and cold, so we immediately made for the motorcycle taxis, just before reaching home as I was looking forward to Steve on his taxi he started to lean to the right and ever so slowly fall off the bike, the taxi drivers were going at about 35 K.P.H. as he rolled off the bike he hit the ground head and shoulder first sliding across the the other side of the road narrowly being missed by three oncoming motorcycles, his malaise of last week had returned, he had passed out on the back of the bike and fallen off,

the good news was that he was wearing a crash helmet, all he remembers is he was on the back of the bike then woke up laying on the road, I did not post this on the blog before as his wife was in her village and we thought it best to wait for return today in person rather than tell her on the phone or see it in a post, other than the crash helmet his shoulder took most of the damage,

as Diana would say when there is bloodshed on the television, 'that's going to smart in the morning!' the good news is that Steve has made a full recovery, unlike the crash helmet he was wearing, the plastic covering was ripped to shreds, the helmet scratched and dented, with out it the results would have been far more serious, but the lesson to be learned here is a simple one, do not ride a bike without a crash helmet!

Dear Mike, Steve has said many thanks for your concern, as it happens Steve and Kai are having a full top to toe check whilst they are here, the amazing thing is that when we looked up food poisoning I had always thought it took from 3-4 hours up to 24 hours for symptoms to appear, but I was wrong, it can be as little as 30 minutes or take as long two weeks! but neither the less a visit to one of the hospitals out here for both of them is scheduled in, best regards Stan and Diana.
