as I have to tax my motorbike,
so I have to take it to the vehicle inspection centre, but first the good news, the dressing is off and it appears that my small operation was a success, just a small scar a few inches long, so back to having a proper shower,
apart from a quick visit to the bank where it appears that the Samsung television is working fine, we spent the day at home,
there seemed to be a huge number of programs that were on today that we had not watched, after our evening meal we watched a couple of films, well the first a collection of short films, the first Creepshow, this is a cult classic anthology from two of horrors big wigs, Romero and Stephen King, the film contains 5 sections, held together with 50's style comic images, a murdered man returns from the grave demanding his Father's Day cake and death ensues, a meteor's space ooze causes anything and anyone that comes in contact with it to grow (special appearance by Stephen King himself), a scheming vengeful husband buries his wife and her lover in sand to await death at high tide, a professor selects his nagging negative wife to become a tasty snack for a strange crated creature, and finally, a mean old millionaire with an intense insect phobia becomes the prey of an army of cockroaches, great fun, but it did make me jump in one or two places, Diana loved it!
next and our final film of the evening, Charlie Wilson's War, a true story of how well the people of Afghanistan can fight when given the right tools by the US government, the instigator of the project being Charlie Wilson, a relatively obscure Congressman from the Second District of Texas, then for us we were off to bed.
