We Took Lots Of Pictures Yesterday,

so straight on with today's post,

first thing after a telephone call to confirm we were in the day before, the bug company called round,

which was quite pleasing as the previous company called round just twice then disappeared, this is the new companies 5th. visit, so we both hope they will stay the course,

all too soon it was time for our evening meal, so glad rags on,

it was quite light when we reached Soi Diamond, this is the view of it from Second Road,

walking down the narrow passageway it then opens up into a bar complex,

it is normally a bit darker, but we had left home a bit early so the sun had not yet gone down,

Walking Street looks so much different in the daylight,

and that is were we are heading on the left, the Lobster Pot,

but first a quick look in Boots the chemist,

then across the road to eat,

and this is what we went for, the 2 person seafood platter for 1,300 baht,

'I want that one!', shades of Little Britain,

if only we could afford a lobster!

if you order off of the menu you can also pick what vegetables you want cooked to accompany the meal,

as well as picking your own food which of course is a fresh as you can get,

did I mention the wine selection? but what has got to be one of the greatest deals around, if you order the seafood platter for 2 for just 300 baht more you get 1 litter of red or white wine included,

as we were early we had a pick of the tables, so we chose one at the rear of the restaurant overlooking the sea,

with a nice view across the bay,

as the sun set she took full advantage of the camera on her telephone,

it certainly was a lovely place to watch the sun go down,

but as it did so a huge cloud slowly started making its way towards us,

Diana pushed the boat out with a Mai Tai cocktail,

as I sipped my red wine watching the sun go down,

a couple of late afternoon/early evening jet skis came past,

as well as the main platter we ordered a couple of starters, firstly deep fried prawns,

and a small pot of spicy seafood soup, called Tom Yum Talay,

a quick pose for the camera,

well we had to have another picture taken,

 Diana served the soup,

as I watched the sun get lower,

rather alarmingly the were a few flashes of lightening in the cloud, but it was still far enough away not to hear the thunder,

another jet ski made its way past one of the floating restaurants,

I was still keeping a check on the approaching storm,

as we tucked into our starters,

the lights on the Pattaya City sign across the bay lit up,

so a quick picture of Diana with them in the distance,

the lights were also starting to stand out against the darkening sky on the floating restaurant,

starters cleared away we took a long break before our main course arrived,

so it was 'Cheers!', from me,

the flowers on the rail at the back of the restaurant was a nice touch,

 another look at the sunset,

a speedboat making its way home to the main marina,

next door there is another restaurant with a neon windsurfer which we both thought looked neat,

then it was time for our main course,

 the seafood platter for two,

 it was huge,

there was a selection of prawns and a couple of rock lobster,

 cockles and mussels,

 a couple of steamed crabs,

a tilapia, fried squid rings and a portion of rice,

by now it had got quite dark, the lights on the floating restaurant really standing out,

and giving a nice reflection on the sea,

but back to the meal, we were both picking our way through it,
Diana could not decide on what to have next,

but the empty shells on her side plate says it all!

Diana could not quiet finish her cocktail, so I just had to help out,

by now the Pattaya City sign looked really bright,

it is now the low season, there were just a few dinners at the end of the restaurant near the sea,

then it was time for our desserts,

a banana flambé for myself and a strawberry ice cream for Diana,

both of which we found delicious,

Diana thought she might improve my looks with an orchid behind my ear, but no such luck,

our meal over the bill came to 2,500 baht, so we then made our way home, but as we passed King Seafood a bit of street theatre was taking place,

this scary guy on stilts was entertaining passers by,

so I just had to have my picture taken,

then we were home, the previous few evenings we had been watching Bottom, Diana enjoyed it so much she asked to watch some of their early work, so a trip to the Young Ones was our late evenings entertainment, after couple of episodes we were then  off to bed.
