these sculptures were all made of sand,
but they are,
I dread to think of how many hours it must have taken Cleveland-based artist Carl Jara, who goes by the name Grain Damaged, to make these sculptures,
as an aside it was just a chance encounter in high school that change the direction of Carl's career, he was working on a stage crew with Tom Morrison, a master sandcastle builder, while attending art school for illustration and graphic design, he became involved with a thriving community of sand sculptors, after receiving critical acclaim for a 15-foot sand sculpture that he erected in the student gallery, Mr. Jara switched crafts, it makes my day on the beach with a bucket and spade seem tame, what a talent Carl has.
