by meeting with Steve,
for a late breakfast/early lunch in the Punch and Judy, we had a quiet afternoon,
before making a move to the weekend night market in Thepprasit Road, happily not much cloud looking towards Jomtien,
hopefully the rainy season is now over,
but a few clouds looking inland,
opposite the bar this evening a stall giving details of the Metropole Hotel and one selling ladies clothes,
the food aisles already getting busy,
as the ice truck arrives,
frying tonight!
just a few customer in the pet aisle,
sunset over the market,
then we were home for a quick change and off to the Dusit D2 baraquda, for our evening meal,
past the champagne,
to the restaurant over looking Second Road,
Diana wanted to take a few pictures as well,
there was plenty of comfortable seating with a musician playing saxophone and clarinet at the end of the roof restaurant,
there was a private party going on at the right of the restaurant, but their dessert were just in front of us, they looked so delicious,
during the course of the evening the Ripley's balloon made a few ascents,
every so often some one would take a picture from the balloon as we could see the flash of their camera working,
and a picture of it that Diana took,
and a picture of it that Diana took,
our meal soon arrived,
spaghetti carbonara for Diana,
a burger and chips for Mr. Tony,
baked salmon for myself,
as you might expect the food was delicious,
Diana's spaghetti carbonara,
and my baked salmon with vegetables and rice,
but we had not only come for the fine food, we also wanted to listen to multi talented Aht Gunlayanakupt,
the music he played was just so nice to listen to,
during the course of the evening a light show was taking place on the side of a nearby building,
the hotel I guess next door,
was projecting patterns onto the building over the road,
we were then given some complimentary desserts,
they looked and were delicious,
then time for the ice cream,
Mr. Tony had his raw,
we had ours fried,
yes fried ice cream!
what a fabulous meal and setting, also we thanked Mr. Tony for kindly treating us to it, a final couple of photographs looking over Second Road,
the facade of Ripley's,
and of course their balloon,
the foyer of the Dusit D2,
the hotels card,
and details, for a extra nice evening out this is the place to be, but make sure Aht is playing on the night you chose, after arriving home we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony, then for us we were off to bed.
