The First Real Frost Of The Winter,

greeted us this morning,

it was so frosty it almost,

looked like we had a a light dusting of snow,

even the roofs of nearby houses were covered frost, as it happens the forecasts is for frosty mornings for the next week or so, could it be a white Christmas this winter?

Diana had left for work as I made my way through a cold cloudless day to the bank,

so a bus into town then over the road to the bank,

banking finished, bus back to the park,

with not a cloud in sight I guess it will be another cold night,

when Diana returned home and after our evening meal, it was advent calendar time,

today a another lipstick, which happily was a colour that Diana liked, we then watched a quiz show that was new to us,

Beat The Chasers, with one lucky contestant tonight walking home with £40,000 tax free, after which a BattleBots was showing next, great fun, it is amazing how much work goes into producing one of these destructive robots,

we followed that with a film, The Raven, based on the last days of Edgar Allan Poe, although no records of that day survived, I am guessing that Poe's works will soon be banned by many PC schools and colleges, well he did marry his 13 year old first cousinVirginia Eliza Poe (née Clemm; August 15, 1822 – January 30, 1847), sadly in January 1842, she contracted tuberculosis, growing worse for five years until she died of the disease at the age of 24, back to the film, we both found it an enjoyable watch, the sets looking exactly as we would have imagined the streets, buildings and interiors would have looked at the time, I especially liked the references to Edgar's works during the film, after which we were off to bed.
