Boxing Day Is Here,

so bags packed and we were on our way,

but first a couple of poses,

before we started our walk,

into a grey, cold day,

not much traffic about today,

as we made our way towards Steve and Kai's home,

ding-dong,

inside the table immaculately laid out,

with nibbles,

and yes,

M & M's from Steve and Kai's last visit to the huge M & M store in Leicester Square,

beautiful flowers, we did look up what the small pink ones were, but naturally I did not make a note of it,

time for bubbly,

Steve doing the honours,

all set,

then the girls started on cocktails, low alcohol ones I should say,

'Cheers!',

into the kitchen,

everything ready and waiting,

huge prawns for one of the starters,

Kai preparing them,

for serving,

watched by Diana,

Steve also checked on the beef and pork for our main course,

our starters, salad, large prawns,

huge prawns and scallops,

'Cheers!', I knew my place, and it was well away from the kitchen!

well I just had to go and have a look,

the meats cooking perfectly,

and here they are,

and from all of us "Merry Christmas!",

vegetables next on the table,

like myself Steve admits he is not so good at carving,

but like Diana, Kai certainly is!

she makes it look so easy,

beef carved,

onto the pork,

oh dear an empty glass, that will never do,

after a huge meal it was cracker time,

1 -2 -3 go!

I know it is going to go bang, but I still grimace,

and it did go bang,

time to look for the novelty and joke,

meanwhile Kai was busy in the kitchen,

and joined us in the front room,

Steve helped out whipping the cream for the Eton mess,

I think Buddy, who had been asleep upstairs, must have smelt the cream as he made his entrance,

and here it is a delicious Eton mess, we chatted the afternoon and early evening away, after thanking Steve and Kai for a most wonderful Boxing Day we made a move for our home, where it was one more Christmas show from Morecambe and Wise, after which Diana was off to bed, back to work tomorrow, for myself as it was on,

I watched Gladiator, a enjoyable to watch again film, and great special effects, amazing to think it was released in 2000, how time flies! after which I too was off to bed.
