this lady earns a living by walking miles around the villages every day selling different types of deserts,
it is a type of noodle smelling almost like pear drops, if you have ever tried some of those, a sort of acetone taste,
75 years old and I bet she can out walk me! another thing, the bamboo across her shoulder is deceptively heavy!
this is the local temple complex,
with 3 or 4 in the compound,
and some smaller shrines,
now many times I have heard of people being taken to the "monkey house" luckily I have so far never seen one, well here is what a country one looks like,
no I am not kidding! the locks really work and it is used when ever some one in the village misbehaves,
it is as uncomfortable as it looks, standing upright is impossible and notice, no shade from the trees, the last time it was used was on New Years Day when 3 people were to drunk for the village good, so be warned!
on the way back we looked into see Mas's family's second rice crop, the picture does not do the green colour of the rice justice,
