the few homes completed at the Wixams, where only three people have moved in
create a new home town for 10,000 people, build schools, shopping centre, library and sports centre, and lastly hire staff, well as usual Bedfordshire County Council got it a bit wrong, they hired the headmistress for the school first, well nothing wrong with a bit of forward planning - except the school has not been built yet!
Councillor Rita Drinkwater, the Bedfordshire County Council Cabinet Member for Education, said: ‘The council is moving forward with the construction of the school so that the first phase of building is in place for September, meanwhile headmistress Susan Vint is ‘busy preparing’ for an opening date in September, but those monitoring the work believe the school will not be up and running until late 2010, so stay at home on £60,000 a year and keep preparing those lessons!
