Now Why Did I Not Think Of This?

for 30 years Mary Bloch and husband George have lived in the Far East, and far from speeding their time in bars, fishing and soaking up the sun like me, they spent their time collecting these, 1,700 exquisite Chinese snuff bottles, as it is so humid in the Far East the bottles had to be airtight, made of jade, glass, ivory, lacquer, porcelain, bronze, silver or stone, just one of these delicate vessels is thought to be worth over £250,000! the entire collection is said to be worth over £20 million, most date from the 17th and 18th centuries and range from just one to four inches high, the collection is said to be the world's finest, London-based dealer Robert Hall, who advised the couple, said: "It was formed with a large amount of intelligence, integrity - and a lot of money." 'and a lot of money' well that is me out of the frame then, never mind the intelligence bit! the first of ten auctions over five years will be held at Bonhams Asia, Hong Kong in May.
