Any Bugatti Seems To Be Worth A Lot Of Money,

even it appears a fake one,

found looking like this after he died, engineer Alan Riley bought the Type 51 in 1987 and was convinced it was used to win a 1931 Grand Prix,

it now looks like this unearthed from the garage it was in for 9 years, but it is actually a replica built in the 1980s, with just two original Bugatti parts, even so the car is expected to got under the hammer for £100,000, a fraction of what it would have been worth if it really was a genuine type 51, they would go for a cool $3,500,000-$4,500,000 or so,

like this one at at RM Auctions back in 2010, bidding reached $2,750,000 but was not enough to satisfy the car's reserve, it would leave the auction unsold, but who knows, next time it might reach what the auctioners think it is worth, for the technical a real one has a 185 hp, 2,262 cc DOHC supercharged inline eight-cylinder engine, Zenith carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, front semi-elliptic springs, rear quarter-elliptic inverted springs, live axle, four-wheel mechanical brakes, would I like one? you bet, but a real one please!
