Straight On With The Post Today,

as we are off early fishing,

an anonymous friend called round for a tea and a chat,

as did Juu, whilst here both of the blue yabbies decided to make an appearance,

this is the larger of the two, about 5" in length,

then the smaller one decided to come out as well, being quiet aggressive as a specie the smaller one made a hasty retreat after a clash of claws,

all too soon it was time for our guests to leave and for us to get ready for our evening meal,

 to Central Road,

for a Indian meal at Ali Baba,

just before the picture was taken Diana was saying, 'I like that one!' the downstairs part of the restaurant has a handbag store to one side of it,

we made our way upstairs, on the staircase there are pots of jewels and gold looking like you are in the famous cave of legend,

we were joined by Mr. Tony, the restaurant was quiet full so we were shown to one of the smaller rooms that are set off of the main seating area,

we ordered both the normal and spicy poppadoms,

the spicy poppadoms are a bit larger than the normal ones and are covered with a mixture of onions, peppers, tomatoes and yes you guessed it, spicy,

 'Cheers!' from me,

 and Diana,

for starters Mr. Tony had a lamb vindaloo with plain nan bread,

whilst Diana and myself shared a prawn puri,

the service was as always excellent as our main courses arrived,

another 'Cheers!' from all of us,

for our main course we all enjoyed the 20 thieves selection on a hot plate, a mixture of cheese, lamb, fish, prawns and chicken,

plus a chicken tikka massala with peas pulao rice, there was so much food that we took some home with us,

another excellent meal at Ali Baba,

then home feet up for The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, disillusioned after a long career at Sunshine Desserts, Reginald Iolanthe Perrin goes through a mid-life crisis and fakes his own death, the series and for that matter the actor Leonard Rossiter that plays the lead seems to divide opinion, either you love him and the series or hate both, there seems to be no middle ground, we all come under the former rather than the latter, I have to say also that for me Doc Morrissey was a real gem, below is a typical dialogue when Reggie goes to see the doctor as Reggie is unwell,

Doc:
I say, your ticker's racing like the clappers. Not surprising, really. (Doc sits down). Do you find you can't finish the crossword like you used to, nasty taste in the mouth in the mornings, can't stop thinking about sex, can't start doing anything about sex, wake up with a sweat in the mornings, keep falling asleep during 'Play For Today'?

Reggie:
That's extraordinary, Doc! That's exactly how I've been feeling.

Doc:
So have I. I wonder what it is? Take two aspirins

the series aired on British television in 1976–1979, we watched 3 or 4 episodes by which time it was early morning so saying our goodbyes to Mr. Tony we were off to bed.
