in the afternoon,
we needed to buy some prawns and some chicken for our Saturday evening barbecue tomorrow,
as usual we parked behind the market,
in the distance the Ripley's Believe It or Not tethered balloon,
again not many customers, but I suspect that their operating days are limited to those days where there is little or no wind, so opening near the coast might not have been the best idea,
it seems that small shrimps and I guess what we in the UK would call whitebait are now in season,
when we returned we noticed that the red Amaryllis had flowered,
so I had to take a quick picture of that,
we were then off to the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road, the view looking towards Jomtien with the tower in the distance,
when I arrived at the bar this van was blocking the view of this evening's happening,
a blow up Toyota climbing a hill, but more of that later,
the large lychee's that we both like so much are now back in season,
not so many people in the food aisles this week,
and we were a little later than usual as the ice trucks had already unloaded and started to move out,
and very few customers indeed in the clothes aisles,
the sunset looking towards Jomtien,
no one at the bar this evening, just the parking attendants at one end,
we then had the start of a happening,
so Brian, Mr. Tony and myself settled down to watch the show,
firstly the van was pulled away from the front of the exhibit,
then the girls lined up and started to extol the virtues of the Toyota trucks they were selling,
basically the two ladies in the centre of the picture dressed in red, bantered between themselves about how good the trucks were and what special offers are available,
but all three of us agreed the commentary was earsplitting the loud and attracted absolutely no one, also as an aside there was no signage, leaflets or commentary in Russian or English which seemed a little strange looking around at the number of trucks and cars being driven around by foreigners,
but after the commentary was over the ladies took their positions to hand out leaflets, with it has to be said, some nice quiet background music which made a pleasant change from the roar of disco music which normally accompanies these events,
by now it was getting dark, late and the skies cloudy, so we made a move for our evening meal,
to the Punch and Judy,
Diana had decided on spaghetti carbonara,
whilst Mr Tony,
