and take in a show,
at the Nong Nooch tropical garden, we had only just arrived and we saw an elephant on it's toes making a dash for the exit,
but it was a false alarm, it was time for breakfast,
the gardens and show ground are about a 20 minutes drive from Pattaya,
there are lots of things to see and do,
like feeding the elephants,
Kai was just a touch nervous about, but it all went well in the end,
the elephant house is huge, I am guessing but there must be at least 25 or more elephants here,
with new babies arriving every few years,
we had a quick look at he aquariums, most of which housed native fish,
then at some of the plant stalls, I was I must admit a bit surprised at the prices that I saw, all of them cheaper than the Soi Bukaow market that we go to,
we decided to have a cool drink, it was to say the least hot and humid,
whilst waiting for the drinks I just had to take a picture of this orchid,
it looked so nice,
we then started our walk with the girls posing by the fountain,
Steve using Kai's Bad Apple to take a picture,
the grounds them self are huge, so a bus service is available for those who do not want to walk,
all around there are things to take pictures of,
many I am guessing are taking from Thai folk story's,
but all are intricately carved,
we stopped off to buy a few snacks,
I was intrigued by this sugar cane crushing machine,
cane goes in one end, then juice and pulp comes out of the other, in case you are wondering the little black specs are honey bees,
sugar cane waiting to be crushed, it was then time for the show, I have split this post into a few parts as it makes it easier to post, so just scroll down and at the end of the page hit the 'older posts' button.
