so today a bench,
and a kiddies chair but this time supported by balloons,
and all available in a range of colours, the idea comes from Japanese designer Satoshi Itasaka to create a range of furniture based on the film he watched, a 1956 short film ‘The Red Balloon’ in it the young boy, after being chased by bullies, is rescued by a cluster of balloons, back to reality both the bench and chair do not of course float, both pieces create the illusions of floatation using similar tricks: the chair is attached to a wall while the bench was suspended from a ceiling, but still it looks neat and with a little imagination they could be floating.
