difficult to see through,
so I went to the repair shop in Soi 17, this is the view from the shop looking on the left towards Third Road,
I also decided to renew both front and rear tyres and their inner tubes, by local standards still plenty of tread, but for me they needed a change,
so a quick change of the plastic cover,
I bimbled around whilst this was going on, then decided on a coffee from the 7-11 opposite,
by now the rear wheel was off,
then the tyre and tube,
the front was receiving similar attention,
whilst final adjustments were being made to the headlamp assembly,
new rear tube and tyre almost fitted,
just fit the rear axle and brakes and I am good to go,
front almost finished as well,
I can even read the kilometers 57,211 young! and no petrol,
nearly there,
one of the many good things about being out here is that if you wait long enough,
sooner or later a food cart selling what food you want will walk past, in this case fresh fruit, so off I went to fill up with fuel, only to arrive at the petrol station with a flat tyre!
so back to the bike shop where a faulty inner tube was replaced free of charge, which was for the two tyres and inner tubes, plus the plastic speedometer cover 1,500 baht,
57,216 and a full tank of petrol and repaired rear tyre, now to go shopping,we first called into Friendship,
then to the market opposite the temple on Second Road,
be careful which side of the road you park on!
then home, we had unknowingly bought a couple of items that qualified us for a free umbrella, pretty in orange,
in the evening feet up for Silent Running, the loner crew member of a spaceship harbouring Earth's last nature reserves goes renegade when he is instructed to jettison his beloved forests and return home, accompanied only by three robots, he ponders the fate of his last pocket of nature and the murders of his fellow crew members, and on that somber note we were off to bed.
