Where Are The Health & Safety Brigade When You Need Them?

is what I guess many people are asking in Southampton, as uncollected rubbish piles up around the residents, up to 112 binmen went on strike in the city four weeks ago after the council tried to force them to accept pay cuts, dustbins were full weeks ago and the rotting food has attracted flies, foxes, birds and rats, retired hairdresser Mo Simmons, 70, the grandmother of six said: 'the stench is nauseating and people are now walking around holding their nose and flinging new bags onto the piles from a distance, it smells like a sewer', bring on the H & S brigade in what by now must be a concern for public health, but we all know the H & S, never around when you need them! but they are when these sort of incidents occur.
