Diana Had A Little Lie Down,

after our walk around the temple,

only to woken by a trial run of the sound system,

it looks a long way away but in fact it is only about 50 feet away, it was so loud!

 sandwiches for me,

meanwhile downstairs mountains of fresh vegetables had been brought in,

these will be cooked for the villagers,

 plenty of water and noodles,

we decided to stay out of the way,

one of the many palms, this one in seed,

both Steve and myself like bamboos, so a picture or two every time we see one, also worth note that is if you move close to the stand of bamboo as the wind makes it bend there is the most delightful sound to be heard as the stems rub together,

at the end of the day the cows are brought back into town,

it may seem strange but they knew Steve and myself were different, the older cows stopping and coming close to sniff us, the younger ones in a slight panic rushing past us as far away as they could on the track,

then like a scene from Rawhide the rest came past,

Steve spotted some thing in a tree in the distance,

it was an old ants nest,

there were a few more further along the pathway,

the ants use the leaves sticking them together to make a place where their young can be raised, this is an old disused nest, ones currently in use have the leaves which are green and still growing,

by now it was getting late as you can see from the length of my shadow,

the rail tracks marked the end of our walk so we made our way back to the village,

the moon just over the horizon,

a nearly full one I think,

the cows now back at their owners homes,

we had Thai food for our evening meal,

then the girls started to help out by shelling eggs,

downstairs pigs number two and three were being prepared,

with over 300 guests a lot of food was needed,

over night they would be reduced to smaller pieces,

outside I could hear a strange sound, this was what it was,

a machine with a vicious looking implement spinning at high speed,

it scoured out the inside of coconuts so that the flesh could be used for cooking,

I had never seen one before, it made short work of what otherwise would have been very time consuming,

I just had to take a picture of the kids, so cute,

the preparation of the pigs went on nonstop,

which was our signal for an evening bevy,

after a few we popped back,

 work was still continuing,

in fact it went on all night,

each part of the process making the meat finer, eventually into a paste,

then it was off for a good nights sleep.
