Sunday Again,

so for this weeks Sunday lunch,

we went to Soi Bukaow and visited The Robin's Nest, it is in fact just off Soi Bukaw in Soi Diana just before Soi LK Metro,

as usual we had the carvery, I was so hungry I had eaten half of mine before I remembered to take a picture! at 249 baht for soup, main course and fruit cocktail with ice cream a bargain,
'Cheers!', from me, I was only joking to Diana when I said I would eat hers!

in the afternoon, Mike, Riza and Slim Jim called by,

Slim Jim had bought me a late Christmas present,

but he wanted Diana to unwrap it,

 the suspense was killing,

a look of shock and horror over took Diana,

as she realised what it was,

 cobra whisky!

but with the added plus of a scorpion as well!

how did they get the scorpion in the snakes mouth? well over the past 60 years or so I have been given some strange Christmas presents but this one beats them all!, many thanks Slim Jim, a truly unique gift,

as the evening drew on it was time to say our goodbyes,

then feet up for a few DVDs, the first for us tonight a murder documentary, featuring Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka, AKA The Ken and Barbie Killers, so named because of their young and innocent looks, three months after Paul and Karla met, a series of brutal rapes began in Scarborough, Toronto, during their crime spree the violence escalated to murder, one of the victims even being Karla's younger sister, Paul Bernardo admitted he was responsible for every sexual assault attributed to him, but he steadfastly maintained Homolka had been the killer; Homolka, of course, pointed the finger at Bernardo,

in the same series John Wayne Gacy, named John Wayne by his parents after the actor, I have copied and pasted this as it best describes him, 'serial killer John Wayne Gacy was a born salesman with a natural charm, kids loved him, parents trusted him, First Lady Rosalyn Carter posed in a picture with him, all the while, over a seven-year period, he sexually assaulted and murdered 33 teenage boys and young men, burying 28 of them under his house and garage in a Chicago suburb', chilling indeed,

anyone of my age from the UK will remember this series, a fly on the wall look at life on H.M.S. Ark Royal, Sailor, it has just been re-released, I was not sure if Diana would like it but much to my surprise she did so we watched the second episode as well, for a site dedicated to the film crew and sailors on board have a look here, it is a personal blog maintained by Richie,

then to round of the evening some comedy in the shape of Trading Places, Duke and Duke are a firm of traders owned by the brothers Mortimer and Randolph Duke, for a bet they decide to change the lives of two people, the victims find out about the bet and plan revenge, after that for us off to bed.
