First Thing And Off To Immigration,

for the 90 day check in,

every foreigner living in Thailand must check in to immigration once every 90 days or in the case of some visas sooner, if you are caught over staying your visa the results are swift and immediate, you can find yourself on the first bus, boat, plane out of here after a spell in the cells, got a wife and kids here? tough luck and if they do not have a visa they will be following you! what a great system, but back to today, in and out in as long as it takes to fill the form out, the picture is of the condo next door, if you have any immigration problems the immigration office is in Jomtien, Soi 5,

still a few condos left for those that want to be near the beach,

 next stop the Surf Kitchen,

go to the beach end of Soi 5, turn left and it is on the left, just a few yards along,

apart from good food, there is always a few water features working that seem to cool the place down,

 coconut for Diana,

 followed by spaghetti bolognese,

a prawn cocktail and ice coffee for me, delicious,

as soon as we arrived home we changed and headed off to Nick and Maureen's to pick Nick up, then we were off for a spot of fishing,

Diana made herself comfortable with a book and a set of earphones to listen to music,

then the first fish of the day from Nick,

it was a keeper, so into the net with it,

Diana then called me over, there at the end of the broad walk we were sitting on,

 was a lizard,

I guessed he was sunning himself,

he certainly did not seem worried about us or one of the local dogs that were nearby,

he moved to the edge of the woodwork,

and started doing press ups, a territorial display or trying to attract a mate? but look though I might I did not see anything that was showing him any attention except me,

a bit of luck for me next, as the score was evened 1 - 1,

unfortunately for me, not a keeper, these are full of so many small bones, so back he went,

there was a distant rumble of thunder throughout the day, with a few light spots of rain but no major storms,

a pot plant with a difference,

tomatoes, well I suppose growing them in a pot is similar to the ring culture method we use in the UK to keep the roots well drained,

as we were packing up to go a small bird called in to take advantage of any bait we had left, the score at the end of the day? 5 - 4 to me, as we were finishing a gentleman from the UK called by so we chatted about fishing, it was then that I caught the winning fish, or it would have been a draw,

we called back to Nick and Maureen's, the flame trees are a blaze of colour,

although they look bright now it was very overcast when we called back, but in the morning in full sun they were a sight to see,

Diana says hello to a very sleepy Ta-Taa, whilst we had been fishing Maureen had cooked a superb lunch followed by cheese and biscuit and ice cream, many thanks to Maureen for taking such good care of us,

we then settled down to our evening game of Monopoly, I was first out, followed by Diana, but Maureen taking Nick's advice then proceeded to take him to the cleaners, much to Maureen's and our amusement,

Maureen was so happy to win, Nick was well sorry he gave her such good advice!

then back home to 388, where we were greeted by the frog,

it was almost like he was waiting for us to return home, so into the small garden he went,

after we had watched a few hours of television we looked over to the table, only to find him back inside the house,

he was starting to become a regular house guest!

so back into the pouring rain to put him outside, then for us as we have to be up early for Diana's visit to the dentist, we were off to bed.
