for some reason the yellow ink cartridge had stopped working,
the offending part was taken out, a shake of the assistants head with 'no good' being muttered sealed its fate, so back tomorrow to pick it up hopefully with the yellow cartridge replaced, we also picked up some DVD covers, then in the evening off to the weekend night market, both times we left the house and looked for the caterpillar, but he had either changed to a butterfly/moth or had been eaten, he was nowhere to be seen,
slightly cloudy skies but the rain held off,
another stall with moving toys had opened up,
opposite the bar just one stall,
selling what appeared to be prawns covered in various batters,
this week it is a long weekend as Thursday and Friday are Buddhist holidays, so banks, schools and public buildings are all closed making a long weekend, so many people travelled down from Bangkok to stay the weekend, the market was packed,
the pet aisle was busy as well,
a few more clouds, but still no rain,
there were a few people at the bar, but as it is a Buddhist holiday no alcohol can be served today,
Diana came back with some goodies, we were going to meet Mr. Tony at home so off we went,
before we went to the market we watched some of a series called Horrible Histories, as its name implies anything that was horrid in history was going to be featured, compelling it was too, I liked the skit about Caligula's war with Poseidon, the Roman God of the sea, to battle Poseidon Caligula had all of his boats tied together and marched his army across them, then throw their spears into the sea, I am not sure how Poseidon fared but the spear makers of Rome went laughing all the way to the bank! all true, hugely interesting historical facts in a easy to view way,
after our evening meal we decided to watch the 1960s version of The Time Machine, Mr Tony had not watched it before, basically the hero invents a time machine that enables him to go forwards in time for adventures with the subterranean morlocks and the surface dwelling eloi, after a few coffees for Mr. Tony and a couple of red wines for me we said our goodbyes and he made his way home,
we then watched one episode of Waking the Dead, Wren Boys, a young man found dead in 1990 in a pit of concrete, He has signs of a beating but they also found part of a human ear in his stomach, yes you read that right! a story of brotherly love, or hatred, a interesting story full of twists and turns, we are both looking forward to the next one, by now it was late so we were off to bed.
