but the rest have got to go!
was the ruling by Stockport Homes who run a housing association block in Stockport, Greater Manchester, tenants have been ordered to take down the framed prints in a stern letter from housing chiefs, but strangely enough although saying two pictures are fine if they are left any more pictures on the walls the pictures would be destroyed, the reason? they would be a fire hazard, Joan Marshall, 68, said: 'it’s stupid — we all want to keep the pictures up, We all see the corridors as part of our homes, She said many of the pictures have sentimental value as they belonged to a much-loved neighbour who has died,
the thing I do not understand from the people that run Stockport Homes, if they are so concerned about fire hazards why are there no Fire Exit or Emergency Exit signs in the building? even worse Stockport Homes have not even provide a fire extinguisher which might have bought residents a few valuable extra seconds to flee in the case of a fire, Health & Safety strike again!
